What’s important to you?
I mean, what’s REALLY important to you?
With a cyclone hitting in the next 24 hours, we can see what people are thinking about. Food, shelter, loved ones and people who aren’t even necessarily that close to us, but we see who need our help.
Take a moment to think about what was stressing you a week, month or year ago.
How important are those things now? Or how important will they be in 5 or 10 years.
Take a moment to see the kindness of people in helping get ready to weather the upcoming storm.
In the days and weeks of the recovery, take time to notice the kindness of people then.
In 6 months, remember this, as we can now remember how people have come together in past natural disasters.
Kindness is all around us, all the time. Especially when we ourselves are being kind.
Remember to extend that kindness to yourself too!
