We’re delighted to share the exciting news that Season 3 of Karuna’s What About Death!? podcast will launch on Sunday, 3 May 2026, marking the long awaited return of this much loved and impactful series.
As with previous seasons, the podcast continues to gently challenge fear and stigma surrounding death, dying, grief and loss. Grounded in the understanding that life and death are not opposites but part of one continuing journey, Season 3 invites listeners to explore the circle of life through thoughtful conversation, storytelling, research and creativity.
Hosted by Venerable Tsultrim, this new season features a diverse and compelling lineup of guests from Australia and around the world.
Audiences will hear from well-known Australian authors Benjamin Law and Trent Dalton, musical performance duo Leah Cotterell and Narelle McCoy, video game developer Gabby DaRienzo, and researchers and consultants Erica Rosenthal and Kate Folb, whose work includes contributions to the critically acclaimed television series The Pitt. Together with other guests, they share insights, lived experiences, research and creative perspectives on death and dying, life, loss and grief.
New episodes will be released every two weeks, beginning Sunday 3 May, reaching listeners not only across Australia but throughout the world. This global audience speaks to the growing appetite for open, thoughtful and compassionate conversations about death and to the important role Karuna plays in encouraging these discussions.
This podcast is a significant expression of Karuna’s ongoing commitment to building death literacy within our community, and beyond. By creating space for honest conversation, education and reflection, What About Death!? supports cultural change around how we understand, talk about and prepare for death.
