Kate Folb and Erica Rosenthal: Flipping the Channel on Death

In this episode of What About Death!?, Tsultrim speaks with Kate Folb (Director, Hollywood, Health & Society) and Erica Rosenthal (Director of Research, Media Impact Project) from the Norman Lear Center. They talk to Tsultrim about their work with the Center, that involves connecting Hollywood showrunners with industry professionals to build more authentic storylines in media. And they also share their research into audience reactions to these storylines, and how they are helping to spread awareness for initiatives such as organ donation and advance care planning.  Their work encompasses multiple TV shows and movies, including HBO’s Emmy-award-winning drama, The Pitt.
