Caring for someone with a life-limiting illness is a role filled with love, complexity, and emotional depth. Whether you’re a carer yourself or someone supporting carers in a professional capacity, you understand the challenges that can arise, especially during times of uncertainty, transition, or grief. At Karuna, we believe carers deserve care too.
Through our partnership with Wellways Carer Gateway, we offer a range of free, tailored services designed to support carers emotionally, practically, and personally. These services are available to anyone caring for a loved one—whether that person has just received a diagnosis, is receiving palliative care, nearing end of life, or has recently died.
Our carer support services include:
- Navigation support: helping carers access the right services at the right time
- Counselling: providing a safe, compassionate space to explore grief, stress, emotional fatigue, and change
- Coaching: supporting carers to reflect, set goals, build resilience, and find balance in their caring role and beyond
- Peer support groups: guided sessions where carers connect with others who understand their experience
Support doesn’t need to wait until crisis strikes. In fact, early connection can help carers feel more grounded, informed, and emotionally sustained throughout their journey.
Referrals can be made directly by carers or by professionals with consent. Once submitted, our team will reach out to offer personalised assistance.
Whether you’re caring for someone or working alongside those who do, Karuna is here to walk beside you.
