Compassionate Financial Support

Pro Bono Advice for Individuals and Families in Palliative Care.

When someone you love is receiving palliative care, financial matters can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Decisions often need to be made at a time when emotional energy is limited and priorities are focused on care, comfort, and family.

As part of a pro bono initiative, we have partnered with Morgans Financial to offer complimentary, confidential financial advice to clients and families supported by Karuna Hospice Services. The aim is simple: to help reduce financial stress and provide clarity, so you can focus on what matters most.

Some of the areas Morgans can help with (not exhaustive):

Every situation is unique. Advice is tailored to your circumstances and provided at your pace, with sensitivity and respect. Topics we commonly assist with include:

  • Superannuation access and claims:
    • Accessing superannuation benefits on medical grounds
    • Death benefit nominations and beneficiary options
    • Understanding tax implications and payment options
  • Cash Flow and Financial Stability:
    • Managing day‑to‑day expenses during illness
    • Reviewing debts, loans, and repayment options
  • Third Party Professional Referrals (eg solicitors) to handle Estate considerations. Please note that third party professionals may not offer pro bono support.
