Support for loved ones.

Guidance for carers and supporters

Being a carer or supporter for someone living with a life-limiting illness can be intense and demanding; however, it can also be very rewarding to care for someone during what might be a challenging time.

The support you might need as a carer is very individual and can extend beyond how you care for your loved one’s clinical and physical needs. It is important to be kind to yourself during this time and know that Karuna is there to support you when needed.

Information and knowledge are a crucial component of care. We can help support your wellbeing during this time of change and uncertainty and equip you with the insights and trusted resources you need. You will be able to make informed decisions about what is next for you, the person you are caring for and the community around you.

Our role at Karuna is to support you to ensure the person you are caring for can live well and die peacefully in a place of their choosing – with you feeling supported, informed, and confident every step of the way.
