This taster course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Tibetan Buddhism and give you an insight into the Buddhist world view.
During the weekend we will explore:
- The Buddhist approach to happiness
- How karma operates in our relationships and day to day lives
- Buddhist practices that can be used to develop qualities such as loving kindness, compassion & patience
- Meditation techniques to transform the mind and overcome difficult emotions
This course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop a more peaceful mind, deepen their understanding of the spiritual path and learn practical skills using a Buddhist approach to everyday challenges.
Strongly experiential, the weekend will involve discussion, meditation and an open, relaxed environment to explore any questions you have.
About the facilitator: Tenzin Chodron is a Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition who has studied Buddhist philosophy intensively for the past 10 years. Chodron also has many years’ experience as a social worker, counsellor, group facilitator and presenter, working in both the United States and Australia.
